Job Summary
Perform shampoos, cuts, colors, perms, and facials for residents and associates while maintaining salon cleanliness and safety standards. Schedule appointments, manage inventory, and open/close the salon as needed. Support the Village's mission by interacting compassionately with clients and collaborating with the Manager of Salon Services to promote services. Requires a current Missouri cosmetologist license and one year of styling experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or general education degree (GED)
- Current Missouri cosmetologist license
- Basic level keyboarding skills
- 1 year hair cutting/styling experience
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills
- Ability to write simple sentences, paragraphs and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Must be able to speak and hear
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs frequently
- Expected to work on Saturdays
- Post-Offer background check and health screening
Desired Qualifications
- Basic use of Word, Outlook, etc.
- Basic understanding of computer cashiering system
- Previous experience working with seniors and doing sets on hair
