Job Summary
Process and analyze large volumes of data to create original design concepts, mood boards, sketches, and renderings for the Chassis Module. Stay updated on global design trends and competitor activities to gather insights on customer preferences. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and suppliers to ensure designs are feasible, functional, and on-brand while participating in brainstorming sessions. Prepare high-quality visuals for internal reviews and external pitches, clearly articulating the rationale behind design choices. Oversee prototype creation and iteration based on usability, functionality, and aesthetic considerations. Work closely with the Color & Trim team to select materials, textures, and finishes that integrate seamlessly with manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial design, Transportation Design, Product Design, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in styling design, preferably in automotive
- A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and market-relevant design work
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Alias, Blender, VRED or equivalent)
- Strong sketching and rendering skills to communicate ideas, with the effectively ability to merge traditional techniques with AI-generated outputs
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties
- Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines without compromising quality
