Job Summary
Operate meat cutting and packaging machines to process meat products for consumer delivery, requiring technical knowledge of computerized equipment. Perform tasks involving continuous repetitive movement, grasping, and pinching while maintaining attention to detail in a physically demanding environment. Work in cold or warm areas, wet conditions, and noisy settings while adhering to safety protocols and following oral and written instructions. Stand on concrete or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift, potentially working overtime based on production demands.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness and ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms
- Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift
- Ability to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts
- Ability to work with a knife (if trained)
- Ability to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees)
- Ability to work in an environment that is wet and humid
- Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Ability to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment
- Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work around strong smells/odors
- Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift
- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to perform some or all body parts and muscle groups
- Ability to perform repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ability to perform single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs
- Ability to lift objects using mechanical assistance
- Technical knowledge of computerized equipment
