Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain core platform features across backend and frontend systems while translating product requirements into scalable code. Contribute to system architecture decisions, find and fix bugs, and fail-test systems for security compliance aligned with SOC 2, FERPA, and OWASP standards. Build and maintain multi-tenant data models ensuring accurate data flows, support analytics and reporting infrastructure, and monitor system performance and uptime. Work closely with product leadership and data scientists to deliver features on time, participate in code reviews, and enforce high engineering standards. Operate Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm CST on-site at StudyTrack headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software development
- Strong experience with modern web frameworks and backend systems (e.g., Laravel, Node.js, or similar)
- Experience working with relational databases (MySQL or similar)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure environments (DigitalOcean, AWS, or similar)
- Understanding of API design, data modeling, and system architecture
- Experience working in collaborative, product-driven environments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance environments
- Experience with Redis, queue systems, or real-time processing
- Exposure to analytics platforms or data-heavy applications
- Background working in a growth-stage or founder-led organization
