Job Summary
Studio Operations & Traffic Lead responsible for acting as the control tower of the agency's studio: owning the studio job board, running regular traffic and capacity checks, serving as the single escalation point for prioritisation conflicts, and ensuring smooth handoffs from brief to delivery. Builds and maintains resource plans and real-time capacity visibility; surfaces over-servicing risks and inefficient patterns to leadership; sequences work with AMs and department leads; owns project management infrastructure (e.g., Magnetic, ClickUp), develops workflows and SOPs, and prepares leadership dashboards. Collaborates across Creative, Client Service, Accounts, and Production to align teams, while maintaining calm under pressure and clear communication. Requires proven experience in traffic/studio management or senior project management within a creative/production environment, strong understanding of agency workflows, and the ability to facilitate prioritisation with senior stakeholders. Familiarity with Magnetic and/or ClickUp, capacity planning, utilisation reporting, and Google Workspace/Slack is expected, as is a willingness to work in a hybrid setup in Johannesburg, SA.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Traffic, Studio Management, or senior project management role in a creative or production environment
- Strong understanding of how creative agencies function - briefs, production stages, client delivery cycles
- Confident facilitating prioritisation conversations with senior stakeholders
- Systems-minded: able to build and maintain operational infrastructure, not just use it
- Calm under pressure, clear communicator, comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience with Magnetic and/or ClickUp
- Exposure to capacity planning, utilisation reporting, or resourcing models
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack
