Studio Operations Manager

Studio Operations Manager provides operational, administrative, and supervisory leadership supporting The Crucible’s industrial arts studios and facilities, supervising Studio Operations Technicians, overseeing scheduling, performance management, training coordination, and daily workflow within collective bargaining agreements and safety standards. The role combines working management with hands-on coordination across a multi-studio environment, including emergency response, building operations, and occupant safety. Key duties include developing and maintaining procedures and maintenance schedules, overseeing equipment safety (kilns, welding and woodworking equipment, ceramics tools, lifts, material handling systems), inventory control, donations processing, surplus sales, and coordinating union-related workflows. The position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with ability to respond to dynamic operational needs while ensuring safe, efficient program delivery. Onsite role with a Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday schedule, reporting to the Director of Studio Operations, and oversight of Studio Operations Technicians, safety compliance, budgeting, and cross-department coordination.
