Job Summary
Ensure all design and construction documents meet quality standards and technical accuracy while overseeing project schedules, staffing, and coordination to deliver projects on time and within fee. Act as lead architect for Texas Architectural Division projects, managing direct reports including Directors, Project Managers, and Job Captains to balance practice and management. Uphold firm core values, develop staff through mentorship, and enforce QA/QC processes to minimize errors. Represent the firm at public hearings and regulatory agencies, maintaining strong client communication and reinforcing long-term relationships. Collaborate with leadership on fee agreements and billing, focusing on delivery accuracy and efficiency. Report to the Vice President of Architecture with bi-weekly strategy reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Design Professional
- 15+ years of progressive architectural leadership
- Commitment to design excellence and technical accuracy
- Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and inspire teams
- Excellent communication skills with clients, staff, consultants, and construction partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and architectural software
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive, team-oriented culture
