Job Summary
Student Worker Account Associate role focused on developing external partnerships and securing high-value catered events hosted on Grand Canyon University’s campus. Identify organizations, corporations, nonprofits, and community partners to host events at GCU; promote proposals for catered events, private dining experiences, and large-scale functions; build and maintain relationships through networking events, chamber engagements, and referrals; collaborate with internal culinary, restaurant, and events teams to design customized event experiences; support contract discussions to secure bookings and coordinate event details; pursue ongoing partnerships and long-term collaboration opportunities; represent GCU with professionalism and alignment with the university’s mission.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled at Grand Canyon University as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program
- Maintain a minimum GPA: 2.0 for Bachelor’s level students or 3.0 for Master level students
- Maintain good SAP/financial standing
- Able to pass pre-employment background check
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to present and “sell” ideas in a consultative sales environment
- Willingness to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
