Job Summary
Assist the instructor in the classroom by setting up equipment, facilitating student presentations, answering questions during labs, and pre-grading assessments. Grading student work and lab reports using provided guidelines, then uploading grades to Moodle while offering constructive feedback. Meet regularly with the instructor for performance feedback and duty modification, and attend published office hours or meet students online as required. Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked. Reports to Nayoung Ham. Class times are Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:20 a.m. Employment runs from August 31, 2026, to April 24, 2027, with an expected 20 hours per week at a wage of $17.13 to $18.25 per hour. Applicants must be current DigiPen students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who have passed MUS-161 or MUS-399.
Required Qualifications
- Current student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Reside within the State of Washington
- Have proven proficiency with the course material
- Successfully completed MUS-161 or MUS-399 History of Western Music
- Have taken and passed MUS-161 or MUS-399 History of Western Music with a B or better
- Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
