Job Summary
Set up classrooms and provide technical support for animation software including TVPaint, Rough Animator, Procreate, and Toon Boom Harmony. Execute draw-overs for students and deliver constructive feedback during published office hours and online meetings. Assist students in labs, cover other class times as needed, and collaborate with instructors and other TAs. Track and report work hours accurately while maintaining focus during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant MUST be a current student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Student must reside within the State of Washington
- Must have a good understanding of the 12 principles of animation
- Must have confidence in basic character construction
- Must have working knowledge of TVPaint
- Must have intro-level knowledge of Maya
- Must have a solid understanding of the 12 Animation Principles
- Must have proven proficiency with the course material
- Must have strong 2D drawing skills
- Must have a good understanding of staging
- Must have successfully completed ANI-101 & ANI-151 or ANI-1000 with a B+ or higher
- Must be able to give critique in a professional manner
- Must be a strong communicator
- Must be reliable, punctual, and invested in the success of their fellow students
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Must have good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

- Some knowledge of other 2D animation software
- Understanding of 3D Maya
- Positive attitude toward learning
- Willingness to help others excel
- Comfortable interacting with other students on an instructional level as a mentor
- Arrive on time and be prepared to attend with complete focus during work hours
