Job Summary
Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and case management; deliver individual and group counseling to students; develop and implement short-term intervention plans; work closely with school staff and external mental health agencies; offer training for students, parents, and educators; maintain thorough documentation of services; ensure ethical, evidence-based mental health practices. Requires a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling; registration with the California BBS (AMFT/ACSW/APCC/LMFT/LCSW/LPCC); experience supporting foster, system-involved, or trauma-impacted youth; 2+ years of crisis intervention experience with youth; bilingual Spanish preferred. Location is on-campus at assigned school site(s) in San Marcos, CA; Part-time, in-person; salary $37.00-$42.00 per hour (annualized to $76,960-$87,360).
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
- Registration in good standing with the California BBS (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC)
- Experience supporting foster youth, system-involved youth, or students with complex trauma
- 2+ years of crisis intervention experience with youth
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based crisis interventions
- Fluency in a second language (preferred)
- Spanish (preferred)
