Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and support 8–13 students, providing daily mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes and can transition into the Placed Houseparent position living with the same group. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and on-site housing/meals. Requires a two-person, married-couple team, high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license with van-driving certification capability; lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Proficiency in supervising and mentoring youth
