Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married-couple role) reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students in assigned homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and supporting a rotating nine-on/three-off duty schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent with a consistent student-home assignment. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided/required along with paid training and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status (for both spouses)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to commit to on-campus residency for students
- Ability to supervise and mentor youth
- Experience or volunteer work with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
