Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes and supervise 8–13 students, providing mentorship, daily routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, and leadership for devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role evolves from initial nine-days-on / three-days-off schedules to a Placed Houseparent assignment with the same group of students. Key duties include supervising daily routines, planning and engaging in developmental activities, budgeting and reporting, driving students to activities, and fostering a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Requires a high school diploma or GED, experience with youth, a legally married two-person couple for at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver’s license with readiness to become certified to drive student vans, and adherence to campus conduct rules. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; on-site housing and benefits included. Locations include Hershey, PA and Davie, FL with on-campus housing and full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
