Job Summary
Full-time on-campus Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. A two-person married-couple team resides in student homes (8–13 students) providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care, including managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple homes, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living and working with the same group. Relocation assistance is provided, and compensation includes salary and comprehensive benefits for each spouse. The position requires high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus, with age requirements and family-size limitations for the home.”,
Required Qualifications
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
