Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor 8–13 students per home, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. They begin on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and may transition to a placed Houseparent in the same student home. Relocation assistance is provided with comprehensive benefits and housing. Must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, and have a high school diploma or GED. The role includes on-campus housing and annual compensation of $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 per couple) plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
