Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married-couple role) reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and a family-like environment for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, budgeting and household reporting, and eventually transitioning to a placed houseparent role. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, experience with youth, and willingness to relocate to Hershey/Bradford area with relocation and paid training; couples must both apply. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement for consideration (both spouses must complete individual employment applications)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Two-person role for couples
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
