Job Summary
Married couples are hired as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. The role includes a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, with relocation to Hershey, PA, and comprehensive benefits with relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married couple
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
