Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding 8–13 students, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially on a nine-on, three-off schedule across various student homes, couples will eventually transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and housing/meal provisions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role; both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two years married required (at least two years)
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Committed to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
