Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA or Braidwood, IL to care for and mentor groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a placed houseparent role living with the same group. The position offers relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and a compensation of $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 total per couple).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year minimum married-couple requirement
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Two-spouse must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
