Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive and plan activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel visits, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-on / three-off cycle to a placed houseparent role. Includes relocation assistance and paid training; requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and experience with youth.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
