Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes supervising and guiding a group of ~8–13 students, providing care, supervision, mentorship, and support for academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home and long-term continuity with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Relocation assistance provided
