Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple role as Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support; responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting; initially covering multiple homes on a 9-on/3-off schedule and progressing to a placed Houseparent role with continued residence in a student home; relocation assistance provided and benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model for students
