Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (a two-person, married-couple role) reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA or Commerce City, CO to provide care, supervision, and development support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from rotating nine-day duty cycles to a fixed placed home assignment. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and prior experience with youth. Employment offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; salary is $46,917 per person per year (total compensation approx. $180,000 per couple) with paid training and time off. Both spouses must apply individually and meet age requirement (27+). Relocation and on-campus housing are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
