Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Responsible for supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students in an on-campus student home, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions into a Placed Houseparent position living with the same group of students. Requires a legally married couple with both spouses applying individually, ages 27 or older, and a high school diploma or GED. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
