Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and guide a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role; legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Compliance with pet restrictions (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
- Willingness to relocate and live on campus
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- Complete individual employment applications for both spouses
- On-campus residence in student homes
