Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on-campus in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and structured routines. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. The job requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student vans, and eligibility for a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. The schedule initially consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment requirement (two-person role)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and church services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
