Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents on a Milton Hershey School campus: married couples live in on-site student homes (8–13 students per home) and provide supervision, mentorship, and care, including administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing household routines and budgeting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided with salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and housing; relocation assistance and paid training are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
