Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School provide care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living in a single student home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided. This is a two-person, married-couple position requiring both spouses to complete individual applications. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a safe, alcohol- and weapon-free campus. Relocation and comprehensive benefits are offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-person role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
