Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents: a two-person, married-couple role at Milton Hershey School overseeing on-campus student homes. The position involves providing daily supervision and mentorship to a group of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, the couple will support multiple student homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and will eventually transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students in a dedicated home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
- Complete individual employment applications (both spouses)
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA for on-campus housing and duties
