Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on-campus in Hershey, PA, with relocation available. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students, including daily supervision, routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, development/recreational planning, daily devotions, Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-consecutive-days-on, three-days-off schedule and can transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Salary and comprehensive benefits are provided, along with relocation assistance and paid training. This is a two-person role requiring both spouses to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to relocate to Hershey, PA include relocation as part of consideration
- Willingness to participate in training and adhere to school policies
