Job Summary
Full-time two-person Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School on-campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines, medications, transportation to activities, and development activities. The role includes leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent with a stable student-home assignment. The position requires both spouses to complete individual applications; relocation assistance is provided and on-campus housing/meals are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment applications for consideration
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-year married status
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to work on-campus with students in homes
- On-campus housing and meals provided while on duty
- Relocation assistance provided
