Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide daily supervision and mentorship, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle; later transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home; relocation to Hershey, PA is required and includes comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
