Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living with the same student group in a dedicated home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, with benefits including comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA (relocation assistance provided)
Additional Requirements
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
