Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, manage routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent role. Requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, willingness to obtain van-driving certification, and a commitment to a smoke-free, alcohol-free campus; relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-year married status (for both spouses)
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
