Job Summary
Two-person, married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and care for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, the role supports multiple student homes on a nine-on/three-off schedule, with eventual placement as a consistent Houseparent for a dedicated student home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided with on-site housing and meals during duty, plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement for the role (both spouses must complete individual employment applications)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
