Job Summary
Flex Houseparents: a full-time, two-person couple living on campus at Milton Hershey School in Adams County, NE, responsible for supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and house reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; includes on-campus housing and meals while on duty; relocation assistance provided. Requires married couple with at least two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
