Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, duties follow a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits. Requires both spouses to be legally married for at least two years, age 27+, and to complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
