Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Mount Pleasant, TX area (placement may move to Hershey, PA) to provide care, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. This two-person, married-couple role requires working a nine-on, three-off schedule initially, with relocation and comprehensive benefits, including housing, meals on duty, and health insurance; relocation assistance provided. Both spouses must apply individually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to act as role models for students
