Job Summary
Couples reside in on-campus student homes as Full-time Flex Houseparents to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and accompany students to Sunday Chapel. They oversee budgeting and household reporting and follow a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a dedicated student home. The role includes relocation to Hershey, PA, and comes with salary per person (+ benefits) and comprehensive benefits. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum for the couple (married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
