Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School where married couples reside on campus to care for a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, coordinating daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a Placed Houseparent arrangement living with the same student group. Requires on-campus residency, on-site supervision, a strong commitment to youth development, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a valid U.S. driver’s license; high school diploma or GED and married couple status for at least two years are required. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
