Job Summary
Milton Hershey School is hiring two-person married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes (8–13 students per home). Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from flexible to placed Houseparents living with the same group of students. This role includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off during initial period, and includes comprehensive benefits, paid training, relocation assistance, and housing/utilities as part of compensation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Either spouse must complete individual employment applications
