Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to care for 8–13 students, providing supervision, guidance, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, managing student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. The role initially follows a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and housing/meals during duty. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, experience with youth, and willingness to relocate to the assignment site; both spouses must apply individually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in devotions and attending Chapel
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role requires living on campus
- Ability to relocate to Hershey, PA (on-campus housing included)
