Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents provide a structured, family-like environment for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on/three days off to a placed houseparent arrangement. Required: high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. This is a two-person role for legally married couples, with both spouses applying individually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-year married requirement
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
