Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in Hershey, PA, supervising 8–13 students in a family-like home, mentor students daily, supervise routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead devotions and Chapel, manage budgeting and reporting, and participate in a nine-on/three-off schedule with eventual placement in a shared home. The role requires a legally married couple, both ≥27, with a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license and van-certification readiness, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
