Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on-campus to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home. The role entails daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a rotating 9-on/3-off schedule to a Placed Houseparent within a student home. This is a two-person, married-couple position with relocation assistance offered. Benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel participation (Judeo-Christian)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA (relocation assistance)
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
