Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to provide care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home setting. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, managing student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent home where the same students are cared for. Qualifications emphasize youth experience, a two-year marriage minimum for both spouses, age minimums, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a drug- and alcohol-free campus environment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
