Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students in on-campus homes while managing household routines, schedules, and budgeting. Administer medications, ensure student wellness, and drive students to activities. Plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and accompany students to Sunday Chapel. Transition from supporting various homes to a Placed Houseparent role with a dedicated student group after initial placement. Maintain a schedule of nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off, with unscheduled time on weekdays. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, aged 27 or older, and hold a valid U.S. driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
