Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School; reside on campus, supervise 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting. Initial nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$44,768) with relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
