Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School: married couples reside in on-campus homes to provide care, supervision, and guidance for groups of 8–13 students, manage daily routines and medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and operate on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Requires youth experience, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, comfort leading religious devotions, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and PTO. Both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Two-person role for couples
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
